Touchscreen software crashed

I got my M8800 in March '09 from the Orange shop in town, first 3 months not a problem, very good phone.

About 4-5 weeks ago the touchscreen software crashed, I phoned Orange Care and had the handset replaced within 24 hours. Yesterday the touchscreen on the 'new' phone crashed yet again. Rang Orange Care again and had another phone delivered about an hour ago. Low and behold it is a DOA, nothing works; not the touchscreen or the button....GRRRRRRR

Luckily both times I was able to copy all the data off my phone to the mini SD card and to the computer with PC Studio.

Been on hold now for nearly half an hour and I have now arranged for another M8800 to be delivered tomorrow.

Fingers crossed this one will keep working........

Is Samsung going to have a look into this obvious recurring problem and provide with a firmware update or something?

This may be a physical faulty or a problum with the software. You can have the software on your handset updated at your local Samsung authorised service centre, to find the closest one to you go to the support page of our website and select Service locations. You will need to back up anything on the phone you do not wish to lose before going. I suggest that you also phone the service centre to make sure the engineer will be there and take along your proof of purchase. Alternatively you can arrange to post the phone to us by calling on 08456 726 7864 or by going to the Support page of our website and selecting Online repair service.

I have just revived my Samsung M8800 back from the service centre. My mobile kept on crashing and the sometimes the touchscreen would not respond resulting a automatic restart of the headset. Samsung forums suggest that you have the software updated by the service centre. This is what i asked samsung to do, but the same error occurs. 

Please could someone advise me on what to do.
