Jet 'More Widget' problem
7/11/2009 13:26

Hi - I seem to have an ongoing issue with my Jet on Orange. My original handset refused to download additional widgets and someone on the forum here helpfully told me to deselect all widgets from the sidebar to enable more to be downloaded.

That handset's now been returned after a different fault occurred and I'm now receiving the 'Unable to download. Maximum number of widgets reached' message whenever I try and download a new widget through the 'More Widgets' icon. I've deselected all the widgets I can through the settings>display and light> widget route, but the error keeps occurring even after a soft reset and a removal of the battery. I haven't downloaded any widgets successfully to my replacement handset so it is unlikely to be a memory issue.

As my handset's locked to Orange - who say they can't offer help as the 'More Widgets' widget isn't supported by them - three widgets appear constantly and I can't deselect them from the sidebar; one is a shortcut to the Widget menu (in the display and light menu), one is the orange music player shortcut and one is an orange event widget. None of the three appear in the 'Widget' folder so I can't select or deselect them. Perhaps if I could deselect them it may enable me to download new widgets...

If anyone has any solutions or tips I'd be very grateful!
